Paul Hayden More and more, I find myself asking this question. How do I know what is true? In recent articles I have written, I am discussing things of spirit, spirituality, and how it all relates to our life. It is really what makes up life. I have heard it said that some people say that each of us are just physical bodies with a soul or spirit. Others say the converse is true, that we each are a spirit or soul, and we have bodies. I don't know which is more true. I would say that it is a mixture of both, that without the body, the spirit (or soul) is for nought, but without the spirit, the body would not be alive. Life does seem to be a mystery, a treasure, something to marvel at. One thing I am more and more sure of in my life. Without God, and the wisdom and truth found in the Bible, I sure wouldn't want to try to live or understand life. The "experts," whether they be scientists, theologians, philosophers, professors, or whatever learned profession you can name, none of them have any better idea about life's meaning than you or I can have. I really believe that. Sure they can use many big words, and flowery language, put on robes and caps, with tassels and hoods and sashes of various colors, showing how much they have learned and what degrees they have. But I promise you they do not have any more access to that which is really true than you or I do. Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” John 14.6 The little “book” of John in the New Testament is different from the other Gospels (Matthew, Mark, and Luke), in that John brings out much of the underlying spiritual understanding of Jesus' life. In John Chapter 3, Jesus was speaking to one of the religious leaders of the time. Nicodemus could recognize that there was something quite categorically different about Jesus, and it grabbed him. 1 Now there was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews; As Jesus was consciously approaching the end of His earthly life in a physical body, He spoke words of direction to His closest followers. From John chapter 16, the following are the words of Jesus. 1 "These things I have spoken to you so that you may be kept from stumbling. I am absolutely sure that all of the above sounds crazy. Yeah, right, some “spirit” is going to come and share stuff with me. In the view of all the wise and learned people of this world, that is right - IT IS CRAZY! But personally, I put all my faith in these words of Jesus, over and against the words of any other man, no matter how many degrees they have! Back to my original question - HOW DO I KNOW WHAT IS TRUE? Ask God to help you. Make as sure as you can that you have been “born of the Spirit.” Seek to love and serve God in your life. And simply, in faith, ask for God's help and guidance. God loves you. If anyone has any questions about any of this, please feel free to be in touch with me. Get hold of a Bible and look for yourself. Start with the Book of John in the New Testament. Be honest in your search for the Truth. If you truly want to know who God is, be prepared for the most fascinating and exciting discovery and special time in your life. God Bless Us All! Read more... |

Ed Delph Make contentment your priority, not fame, fortune, or frolic. Real success is seeking first the Kingdom of God, which is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit, which is contentment. God supplies all your needs, not always your ‘greeds’ or wants. Jesus came to give us life and life abundantly. The word for life in the original language is “Zoe.” It means life as God has life. That’s more than money or anything else on this earth. It’s inward contentment. (See Philippians 4:11-13) Read more... |

Cliff Kincaid President Trump has miscalculated the nature and duration of the violence that has been unleashed on the West and Israel by the global Islamic Jihad. That is why the violence in Gaza continues and why the “resistance” movements have vowed to continue to kill and maim. But Charlie Kirk made the same kind of miscalculation. That is why he was murdered. He thought he would be able to debate and talk with his political enemies. They do not want dialogue or compromise. They want to murder us. “They have the devil’s ideology,” Trump said of those who killed Charlie Kirk. So what good will dialogue and debate do? Read more... |
Cliff Kincaid Despite wall-to-wall media coverage of "peace" in the Middle East, there is no peace. All the major terrorist groups have promised to continue fighting and have issued a statement in this regard. "We affirm continuing the resistance in all its forms," their statement said. The signatories were Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine. I am sorry to be the skunk at the dinner party, but these are the critical facts. "Blessed are the peacemakers" is a nice Biblical phrase, but "peace" has not come to the Middle East. Read more... |
Bob Pascarella “A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil. Each man speaks from his heart's abundance.’’ Luke 11:28 America is suffering through a period, hopefully brief, of civil and political unrest. We are faced with a populace that is ideologically at odds, Right vs. Left, and a political class that cannot find any common ground, and at times who are at one another’s throats. And if one were to ask the reason for this dichotomy, some might say simple disagreements; but just listen to the words spoken and written, and it’s apparent a good measure of hate is at the heart of what’s wrong, and there is enough to go around. Phil Perkins It would appear that Senator John Fetterman, D-PA, has become a victim of Stockholm Syndrome. That is, while his party leaders try to bully him into submitting 100 percent to their neo-Marxist agenda (or else), he continues to insist that he remains a loyal Democrat despite his uniquely independent streak. This independence has shown itself in the two ways that are anathema to the Democrat party – support for Israel and recognition that President Trump and his supporters are not “Nazis” or “fascists.” Because of these supposed sins, Democrat leaders in his home state are pressuring Fetterman to either shape up or ship out. This pressure includes a warning that he may be primaried when he’s up for reelection in 2028. Read more... |
Jeff Crouere In America today, our two major political parties are moving in opposite directions. For Republicans, it might be the “best of times.” Under the leadership of President Donald Trump, the GOP is feeling confident. Republicans have a strong chance to retain control of Congress in the 2026 midterm elections, despite the party out of power traditionally gaining many new seats. Read more... |

If you live in New York City and you want to live in a world controlled by Communism, Anarchy, Terrorism, and Sharia Law, then vote for Zohran Mamdani for NYC Mayor. Mamdani claims he is a Democratic Socialist, but this is a made-up term. In a Democracy, you make your own choices; in a Socialist world, the government will make your choices for you. |
